Abstract Forward Partners With Newer Cyber GRC Tool: Ignyte Assurance Platform

In a world of ever increasing policies and regulations, businesses seek ways to remain compliant with policies and regulations. These are meant to keep businesses safe, but they can be a challenge to keep track of when there are new and challenging regulations coming into effect regularly (like GDPR). Some policies overlap, and some are more prevalent than others depending on a company’s industry. Being able to clearly separate and categorize these policies into what’s most important for a company can be a challenge.

Ignyte began as MAFAZO in 2012 to address the growing gaps in cybersecurity that many organizations were facing. Daily threats were increasing, regulations were becoming more complex, and security teams were understaffed. They have to perform tests to see whether their system is up-to-date or not. If a system experiences a breach, all of their information and their clients’ information is at risk of being compromised (like Equifax in 2017). This is why having a secure network and keeping customer/client information protected should be one of the highest priorities for companies.

In recent years, Ignyte partnered with companies across the U.S to help focus their efforts by developing and implementing best practices with regard to security, governance risk, and compliance. Ignyte developed its expertise this way and by developing experience, Ignyte knew a system was needed to help enable their clients to become more self-sufficient in gathering and managing their security environment. Thus, the platform was born to assist with data collection, analysis, and to help streamline processes across multiple security frameworks at once. MAFAZO changed its name to Ignyte Assurance Platform™ in April 2018.

More specifically, the Ignyte Assurance Platform is an advanced GRC solutions engine that simplifies compliance across regulations, standards, and guidelines using its translation and intent technology. The product assists in data collection, analysis, and streamlines processes across multiple security frameworks at once. The platform automates audits that not only keeps a client’s company in compliance, but also shows if a company’s third-party providers are in compliance with regulations. If a client’s third-party vendors aren’t in compliance, it could damage the company if their vendors are attacked, which is why Ignyte helps its clients to audit their vendors to protect both the client and their vendors from cyber threats.

By utilizing predictive threat modeling, the Ignyte Platform helps companies defend themselves against cyber threats, cyber attacks, and cyber breaches by mitigating cyber risk and testing cyber defenses to ensure that they remain intact and robust. Fig. 1. illustrates its ability to build out multi-level executive management and analyst-level dashboards acting as a decision support system to help management in enterprise cyber resource management and cyber knowledge management including these areas:

  • Compliance, Audit & Policy Management
  • Vulnerability & Threat Management
  • FedRAMP Management
  • Authorization & Attestation Management

Without a doubt, it is newer security technology tools like these that add huge value to the marketplace of solutions thereby increasing global security and innovation. Often times, newer entrants, like Ignyte, can be more economical, less demanding to implement, and most often they are easy to use with minimal training required. We at Abstract Forward Consulting can help your team analyze how effective your security applications are, which ones need to be decommissioned, and what security strategy you need to reduce risk with little or no spend increase. All organizations must have an effective GRC tool and if you don’t, consider this one.

Abstract Forward Consulting and Ignyte share the same values and stay current on all relevant changes in regulations, standards, and guidelines for security — it’s their passion. Every member of their respective teams are dedicated to providing best in class customer support to maximize the experience of working with them. Like your organization, we can’t do it alone. But together, we can do truly great things.
